Hi, I'm Eunice — an illustrator based in Taiwan, living and dreaming alongside my beloved cat.

In 2022, I founded Eunique Art to bring a unique blend of creativity and craftsmanship to life. The name 'Eunique' merges my own name, 'Eunice,' with the word 'unique' — reflecting my core belief that every single piece we create carries its own unique soul.

The Beginning

I've always been fascinated by traditional decorative tiles and the stories old buildings carry through time.

To me, tile patterns are more than just decoration. They hold a sense of history, craftsmanship, and beauty that has lasted for generations. I love the structure and symmetry of these designs, but I also enjoy giving them a new life through the playful and expressive personalities of animals.

Many of my illustrations begin with small moments collected along the way — a flower spotted during a walk, a beautiful pattern on an old wall, or even the embroidery on a friend's ballet shoes.

I gather these little details with my eyes and transform them with my hands, turning everyday moments into pieces that tell a story.

Inspiration

Many of my designs are inspired by unexpected moments from everyday life.

Hibiscus & Shadow was inspired by a chance encounter with a black cat in the backyard of a winery. Flowers usually draw the eye first, but this time, I wanted them to take a step back and let the black cat become the focus.

The Tulip Collection was inspired by a much simpler moment. While I was photographing tulips in the garden, my cat wandered into the scene, curled up beside the flowers, and promptly fell asleep. It was such a peaceful and amusing sight that I knew I had to include it in my work.

I find inspiration in these small moments because they're often the ones we remember most.

Craftsmanship

I believe good design should be experienced not only through sight, but also through touch.

Every illustration begins as an original hand-drawn artwork. More than creating decorative patterns, I hope to capture memories, nostalgia, and the special bond between people and their animal companions.

That's why texture plays an important role in my work. From raised relief details to carefully selected materials, every element is chosen to add depth and character to the final piece.

My goal is to create objects that feel meaningful, thoughtfully made, and enjoyable to live with for years to come.

Tiles, Paws, and Tales.

Through tiles and illustration, I hope to create pieces that bring a little beauty to everyday life.

Thank you for being here, and for being part of the Eunique Art story.
